We want this to be a perfect fit. If you feel your matched mentor isn't the right alignment for your goals, email us and we will rematch you at no extra cost.

- Yes! You dictate how the time is used. Whether you need a personal statement review, school list curation, or a mock interview, your mentor is there to help.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we believe in a fully transparent financial model. We have stripped away the corporate profit margins of traditional admissions firms to focus entirely on sustainability and student success. Whether you are purchasing a mentorship package or making a donation, here is exactly how those funds are used to fuel our mission:
- Access Grants for applicants with financial need
Reduced fees and donations directly help subsidize mentorship for students who receive the Pell Grant, AAMC Fee Assistance Program, or demonstrate financial hardship. These funds reduce the cost of advising by 20–40%, allowing students to receive personal statement support, school list strategy, interview preparation, and full-cycle guidance without being priced out of the process. - Fair, mission-aligned mentor compensation
Our mentors are current medical students with demanding academic and clinical schedules. Donations help us compensate them for their time while keeping applicant prices far below traditional admissions consulting rates. Our model depends on mentors who believe in paying it forward, not on extracting corporate profit from applicant anxiety. - Matching, coordination, and applicant support
Behind every mentor match is the administrative work of reviewing applicant goals, background, timeline, availability, school interests, specialty interests, and mentor fit. Donations support the people and systems needed to coordinate matches, handle rematches, answer applicant questions, manage scheduling issues, and make sure students are not left navigating the process alone. - Mentor recruitment, training, and quality control
We continuously recruit medical students from diverse schools, backgrounds, and application paths so applicants can find mentors who understand their story. Donations help us expand the mentor roster, onboard new mentors, standardize advising practices, train mentors on ethical admissions support, and maintain consistent quality across the network. - Secure technology and backend platforms
Fees and donations support the software, databases, payment infrastructure, email automation, scheduling systems, secure document workflows, mentor availability tracking, analytics, and backend tools needed to connect applicants with mentors reliably. - Legal, compliance, accounting, and nonprofit administration
Fees and donations fund legal review, accounting, tax filings, insurance, privacy policies, terms of service, document retention practices, grant procedures, and compliance systems. They protect applicants, mentors, donors, and the organization. - Outreach to underserved applicants
Fees and donations help us reach first-generation students, low-income applicants, nontraditional applicants, immigrant students, rural students, and students without family connections to medicine. They also help us maintain secure review procedures, clear redaction instructions, and administrative safeguards. This protects students while allowing us to verify need accurately. - Free and low-cost educational resources
We have goals to expand to offer even more support to our future physicians. Fees and donations help us create free guides, blogs, workshops, application timelines, essay resources, school list resources, and interview preparation materials for the broader premed community. - Processing fees
To make mentorship accessible, we need to offer flexible payment options, including credit card payments, bank transfers, and installment plans. These platforms charge processing and financing fees (some over 6%!) that can meaningfully reduce the amount we receive from each purchase. - Long-term sustainability
We price our services to sustain the mission. Fees and donations allow us to keep rates lower, offer more grants, expand mentor capacity, and build a durable organization that can support future generations of applicants.
04.
- Absolutely. Our diverse roster includes students at MD, DO, and Texas medical schools. If you need help with a specific application system, we will ensure you are paired with a mentor who knows it inside and out.
05.
- Many traditional admissions companies separate “strategy” from “writing.” You may speak with a consultant, but your essays are then passed to a separate writing specialist or editor who may have never applied to medical school, served on an admissions committee, or navigated the current application cycle.
We believe that model misses the point.
Medical school essays are not about producing perfect literary prose. Applicants are rarely rejected because a sentence could have sounded more elegant. They struggle because their application lacks a cohesive narrative, because their experiences are not framed strategically, or because their essays do not communicate the qualities admissions committees are actually looking for.
That is why your writing support comes from current medical students who recently succeeded in this exact process. They understand what a compelling physician narrative looks like because they built one themselves. They know how to connect your clinical experiences, service, research, leadership, identity, and motivation into an application that feels clear, authentic, and admissions-relevant.
We do not hand you off to a cheaper outsourced editor. Your mentor helps you shape the substance, strategy, and narrative of your application from start to finish.
06.
- Unlimited messaging means you can message your mentor as often as you need during the covered period of your package. We do not believe in restricting access to your mentor or making applicants feel like every quick question has to become a paid meeting.
You can use messaging for time-sensitive questions, quick clarifications, strategy check-ins, essay questions, school-specific concerns, or anything else that comes up during your application process. This does not include reviewing full essays through email. Mentors respond as quickly as they can, generally within 24–48 hours.
07.
As a non-profit, our default Expert Matching is always free. We review your profile and match you with a highly qualified mentor who has current availability. However, our mentors are active medical students with demanding clinical and academic schedules. When an applicant requests a specific mentor, it requires administrative coordination to block off that mentor’s limited capacity and guarantee they can stay with the applicant for the duration of their journey. The one-time fee covers this logistical coordination and ensures your chosen mentor is locked in exclusively for you.
